A Vision To Uplift Every Resident and Neighborhood

Growing up, Matt’s grandfather was his hero and instilled in Matt a strong work ethic, the importance of treating people fairly, and the positive impact of serving the community.

Through his teenage years and adult life, Matt followed his grandfather’s guidance to help others. Matt graduated from the University of Tennessee where he was active with the Baptist College Ministry outreach.

He has previously worked as a Legislative Liaison for Governor Bill Lee, Political Director for the Tennessee State Senate Republican Caucus, and Campaign Manager for State Senator Shane Reeves and former State Senator Jim Tracy.

“I’m running to promote a city that not only grows in prosperity but also strengthens in character and unity.”

Currently, Herriman is the Director of External Affairs and Development for Noble Education Initiative which is a network of education professionals focused on addressing educational challenges to help children flourish. He also works as a realtor with Parks Real Estate.

These experiences have equipped him with a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing our city. He will leverage his background to champion initiatives, so families are able to thrive in safety and hard work is rewarded with the opportunity for success.

Matt served in ministry for several years in youth and college programs and is passionate about giving back to others. He believes in fostering strong community bonds and advocating for ethical leadership.

Matt and his wife, Morgan, have three children and are active members of New Vision Baptist Church where he serves as a deacon.
